I received this book free from the publisher via netgalley.com in exchange for an honest review.
Let me start by saying, this books beautiful prose captured me in the first chapter. Not many books can do that, I don’t think, especially since I had mistaken this one for another fantasy book I was going to read so it wasn’t at all what I was expecting.
Please tell me I’m not the only one who gets their novels mixed up that way!
Also, THE COVER ART.
I ended up reading this novel in one day because I just could not put it down. Let me just say right now, I would definitely re-read this one even though I know how it ends. I think it’s one of those novels that would actually benefit from a re-read.
The prose was beautiful, story-line compelling, and if you’ve ever experienced infatuation you’ll understand what’s happening and relate to a lot of it, as I did.
I usually pride myself on being able to figure out an ending before it comes but this one I am happy to say I was completely wrong. About everything.
