I received a copy of this book via Netgalley.com in exchange for an honest review.

What a thrilling and excellent read!

We follow the story of Meho, a young boy adopted from the wilderness. He has experienced hell on earth and managed to survive and now he is living with a loving family so what could possible force him to commit these unspeakable crimes?

Corruption and abuse of power is a massive and frustratingly real theme throughout this novel. It’s hard not to feel anger along with Bucky about the events that take place. Thank God he is who he is. I don’t want to elaborate too much and give anything away, this book is better read blind so you can watch the story build and unfold as it goes.

Relationship wise, Meho and Bucky have an incredible bond and are both well developed characters with a very loving relationship. If this doesn’t draw you in, the mystery and suspense will.

The best crime/thriller/suspense novel since I Am Pilgrim.

It’s a long read, but every page is worthwhile!
