I received a copy of this book free from the publisher via in exchange for an honest review.

This book feels like some parts Snow Queen, some parts Lunar Chronicles and all parts action.

The main character is difficult to relate to through most of the book due her her abrasive and angry personality, but as we come to understand where this comes from, she becomes much more engaging.

A girl who has lost everything and just wants to be normal finds herself on the way to fulfilling a prophecy. The fate of her real home rests entirely on her shoulders and for someone just searching for calm and normal, you can imagine how she must feel about this.

Her frustration is palpable and the emotion between characters is heart breaking in parts.

Overall, an excellent YA fantasy with a touch of romance and a heap of action and strong female characters.

I would definitely recommend you pick up a copy!

Available as of September 20, 2016!
